South Point Mall, etc. February 11, 2012

Can’t let all the weekend posts about last weekend to go by without one more complete with photos!   After getting the dresser and a van load of other ‘treasures’,  Katherine, David, and I had lunch with my cousin Val and her daughter Anna (who I have only met as a baby and child.  She is now grown and a coporate lawyer).  It was nice to spend a little time getting reacquainted.  The odd situation with Mama and my aunt have kept the families distant for many years.   We parted company with them and headed to the South Point Mall in Durham…me following Katherine and David in her Jeep.  The mall was wonderful.  One of the largest malls in North Carolina.  We only saw a fraction of it….spending time in I think only one inside store (Brookstone) before heading to the adjacent outlying buildings.  There we found treasures indeed in Restoration Hardware and Anthropologie.   The kids taught me something about the wonders of window shopping.  We had a wonderful time!

Loading Mama's dresser....
At Brookstone....
Beautiful Katherine on a linen sofa at Restoration Hardware.
David at Restoration Hardware....this is his Cary Grant look.
Is this the couch that was $3200?   Katherine was right at home.
This is a chair!  Large enough to curl up on...
My Restoration Hardware purchase.....$6 for both.
No photos inside Anthropologie....but we had a great time! Pretty clothes.....pretty dishes........pretty everything. We left the mall and headed back to Elon where we visited Katherine's apartment, walked in the freezing cold to get Pizza, and then headed to MacDonald's for hot chocolate. So much fun! Love sitting in the backseat and having Katherine and David play and react to their music. Although not a great photo, I love the memory:
Rockin' to the music....
