Fourth of July. One of my favorite traditions and for years we have shared it with Tonnye and Shane. Our annual trek to Manteo’s Festival Park to spread blankets and chairs on the green, listen to music by the North Carolina School of the Arts, enjoy each other’s company, and see a spectacular fireworks show. This year was no exception - and even though crowded-we had our space and enjoyed ourselves.

I take my photos….of course. Even setting up the mini tripod and running so I can be in the photo. The best thing is just being together. I tried this year not to think of Katherine’s upcoming departure for college. We just keep inching closer and closer to that Aug 28th date.

Thanks for always being hospitable and helping keep our tradition alive. We wouldn't trade it for anything -- we love being with you!
