I can so remember a dozen Halloweens where I was sewing up until we left the house to go trick or treating. Ever since Katherine was a year old, we have gone as a family. Sometimes with friends; most of the time alone. The last several years we have taken the same path….our road and then Lisa’s. Our first stop is always Mrs. Foreman’s where we take our annual photo. As the kids got older it never mattered that Katherine and David were past the usual age. Last night, Katherine was a little self conscious of being dressed up and trick or treating with her brothers. It wasn’t something she was going to miss though, knowing that next year she may not be here. College can sure send your emotions spiraling.
