Shopping was a lot of fun….Katherine has never loved shopping. Usually she is fine until she finds what she is looking for and then is ready to go. I suppose it was much the same the day we went shopping….but there was just so much to get that the ‘ready to go’ feeling was delayed.
The two of us went to Virginia-mostly to hit the new Target which had a wonderful ad displaying dorm stuff. The ad proved mostly true and before we left we had two carts! Carts were full of Closet Maid Cubes, pillows, an ottoman (that opens!), bath towels, a lamp, dish towels, pot holders, and Tupperware (her dorm has a full kitchen!), a beautiful red teapot (one of her favorite purchases), a trashcan, a small rug, a dress, and various other items. Then we hit the mall….jeans, tank tops, and new pj’s!
Good conversation, good music, and even good food (we ate at Ruby Tuesday)! Best of all, just being with Katherine.
(we won’t talk about having to go back two days later to get the clerk to take off the ink alarms she left on three pieces of clothing. However, we made use of the trip to do more shopping!)

Woo-hoo! SOMEONE had quite the shopping expedition!!!!
It is so weird watching Katherine, for some reason, go off to school. In some ways, I feel my life "began" when I went away ... and to see Katherine following that path makes me feel OLD!
How exciting!!!!!!!! The most amazing days are ahead for Katherine. . . and it looks like you two had a blast!
