From Kindergarten through Senior year.....I have made over two thousand lunches for Katherine. She always took her lunch...although she did try the school salad a couple of times. There was the one day in Kindergarten when I didn't realize she didn't have her lunch and I walked into the cafeteria just in time to see her sitting down with a tray with tears in her eyes. Whew! :-) There have been less than stellar lunches. Some really good ones (like the ones that came from Beach Bread). There were notes. Smiley faces and encouraging words on hard days. Who would have thought that along with all the 'lasts' senior year has brought, that the packing of a lunchbox would rate right up there. It'll be strange to only pack two next year. I'll have to send 'lunchbox notes' with care packages next year.
